Do you treat pediatric skin conditions?
Patients as young as 5 years old are welcome to our practice for consultation and treatment.
When should I start getting full skin checks for skin cancer screening?
Most adults should consider starting routine full-body skin examinations in early adulthood, particularly if they have fair skin, a history of sun exposure, or many moles. Individuals with higher risk factors—such as a personal or family history of skin cancer—may benefit from earlier or more frequent screenings. There are many possible factors that can influence skin cancer risk, and your provider can help you determine the appropriate screening schedule based on your personal risk profile.
When should I start Botox for cosmetic reasons?
There is no specific age when someone should start getting Botox. Since Botox helps to prevent resting wrinkle lines, it is best to get started at the first sign of a resting line starting to form. For most, this may be in the mid-20s to early 30s. The right timing depends on your facial anatomy, skin quality, and aesthetic goals, which can be personalized during a consultation visit.
Will taking oral biotin supplementation help my hair loss?
For most people, biotin supplementation does not significantly improve hair loss unless a true biotin deficiency is present, which is relatively uncommon. Many common forms of hair loss—such as androgenetic alopecia or telogen effluvium—are caused by factors unrelated to biotin levels. An in-office evaluation can help identify the underlying cause(s) and guide more effective, evidence-based treatment options.
How is it possible to treat skin conditions via telemedicine? Don’t you need to see my skin?
Telemedicine follow-up visits are conducted through secure video, allowing your dermatologist to visually assess your skin and evaluate how your condition is responding to treatment. These virtual visits are used only for follow-up care after an initial in-person evaluation. Patients always have the option to schedule an in-person follow-up visit at any time if they prefer or if their physician feels an in-person assessment would be more appropriate.
How long will I need to be on my weight loss medication (semaglutide, tirzepatide) for? Will the weight come back after I stop the medication?
Medications such as semaglutide and tirzepatide are often used as longer-term treatments because they help regulate appetite and metabolism. Many patients remain on these medications for 1–2 years or longer, depending on their weight-loss goals, metabolic health, and how well they maintain lifestyle changes. If the medication is stopped abruptly, some weight regain can occur because the appetite-regulating effects of the medication are no longer present. To help maintain results, some patients gradually taper the dose or transition to very low “maintenance” or microdoses rather than stopping completely. The best long-term approach is individualized and combines medication, nutrition, physical activity, and ongoing medical guidance.
What should I bring to my appointment?
In order to be seen, you must please bring both your driver’s license and insurance card. If we cannot verify your identification or insurance coverage, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
How much will it cost for me to be seen?
There are many factors which determine the cost of a visit, including complexity of conditions addressed, procedures performed, insurance plan/coverage, and deductible status. We are happy to provide a good faith estimate upon request.

We are located within the office building at 9420 Key West Ave, on the 4th floor. We share Suite 405 with Potomac Ob Gyn.

What if I have to cancel my appointment?
We kindly request that you inform the office of any cancellation as soon as possible. Charges may be incurred for appointments canceled less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time.
